Lisa and Rob at Clarks Landing

I'm sneaking in one last blog post before 2012 concludes!  Lisa and Rob's late summer wedding was full of color and personality, with pink pumps, rainbow socks, and a surprise flash mob!   These two are clearly smitten with each other, and were an absolute pleasure to photograph. I was thrilled to be back at one of my favorite wedding venues, Clarks Landing, and as usual the sunset did not disappoint.

Best wishes to everyone in 2013!

Wedding Photographed with d600

I shot my first wedding yesterday with the new D600.   I thought it would be serving as a D700 back up, but after my intial look at yesterday's images, I think the D700 will be the back up.  The D600 was sharp, clean and fast.  The body does feel light and small in my hands, but it was only an issue when I had my 70-200 on during the ceremony and I think once I add a grip it will be just fine for me.  Didn't miss 1/8000 shutter speed, but then again it was a perfectly overcast day.  Nikon is fooling themselves if they think this is a pro-sumer model... not with images like this!

This was during portrait time... iso 400 with my 85mm lens... to the right is a cropping... crazy sharp!

A few more portraits....

And a couple in lower light.... the image on left is ISO 1600, the right is ISO 3200... cleaner than the D700!

Jersey Shore Wedding - NJ Wedding Photographer

Wedding season has kept me very, very busy this summer, but I finally found the time to post this absolutely charming wedding from May.  From blue shoes to non traditional ceremony readings, the day was full of surprises that reflected the couple's sweet and quirky personalities.  Sue's love of flowers inspired a fresh-from-the-garden style to her bouquet and centerpieces.   I just loved the mason jars!
The ceremony was held on the Long Branch beach, adjacent to the reception venue, McLoones Pier House.   I couldn't resist taking some 'under the boardwalk' shots during the portraits... so romantic!  Have a look...
