Classic Spring Lake Wedding- NJ Wedding Photographer

Amanda and Jeffrey at Spring Lake Bath & Tennis
Amanda and Jeffrey planned a flawlessly pretty and casual Spring Lake wedding this past June. The color palette was fresh and clean.  The bridesmaids donned seasonal pink peony bouquets and crisp navy dresses.  The gents went casual in nantucket red and navy- a refreshing shift away from khaki.  After a beautiful ceremony at St. Catherines, we headed to the park and the beach for portraits. And, of course, we couldn't pass that Spring Lake rescue boat without taking a few shots. The night continued with a packed dance floor and some lively toasts- so much to photograph!

From Engagement Shoot to Save the Date

With engagement shoots becoming more and more popular these days, I find myself printing a lot of save the date cards. Here's one example of the process....
First, we schedule a shoot in your choice of fabulous location.  Danielle and Rich picked rustic Bayonet Farms.  They carefully selected their outfits, coiffed their hair, and brought along some fun props that reflected their personalities. Shoots typically last about 2 hours, ending with sunset.  After several hours of editing, I post the final 150 or so frames to an online gallery.  Here are a few highlights from their shoot.....

Now it's time for the couple to select their favorite images for the save the date.  I suggest 1-4 photos, depending on the style of card you want. And of course, I'm happy to give suggestions! After a brief conversation about style, colors, and content it's time to start the design process.  Although their engagement shoot was very rustic, Danielle want the save the date style to be classic & elegant.  With the couple's input, I set about creating a few sample designs for them to choose from. Here they are....

The final product was printed on a 32pt uncoated paper for a classic, high quality announcement.

Barn Wedding at the Raritan Inn

I met Andi and Marc a few years back when I photographed her sister, Meghan's wedding.  So when I got the call that Andi and Marc were tying the knot, I was thrilled.  We had a fun engagement shoot last summer at their alma mater, Lehigh.  This past May, they finally got hitched at the charming Raritan Inn in Long Valley, NJ. This B&B venue is surrounded by meadows and features and rustic barn that serves at the party space.  The ceremony was held is an intimate clearing, surrounded by woods and a babbling brook.  Andi chose a colorful mix of spring colors for the wedding day- pinks, oranges, and yellows. The dinner tent was full of handmade touches, and the adjoining lawn was busy with lawn games. So fun!
