A perfect day at Bonnet Island Estate

Jordana and Sean are one tenacious couple!  After their original wedding plans were canceled due to hurricane Sandy, these two took it in stride and embraced the opportunity to have a second wedding. Their wedding date moved from the fall to mid summer and this go-round they had an absolutely magnificent day!  They were at beautiful Bonnet Island Estate, which is nestled into the marshes of the Manahawkin Bay.  They kept their wedding details in theme with their surroundings, simple and natural.  A palette of blues and greens played perfectly against the water, grasses, and sky.

And, yes, that is the huppah collapsing mid-ceremony! These two have learned to embrace life's little surprises. Jordana was still full of smiles....

Emily and Bryan ~ A Wedding on LBI

Long time, no blog!  2013 wedding season was a busy one, and I spent so much time shooting and editing, I had no time to blog.  But now we're in the new year, and I'm resolved to get a few of these 2013 gems posted.
To start things off, here's a lovely day I photographed for Emily and Bryan in early fall.  They planned a beautiful day on LBI, with a ceremony at United Church of Surf City and reception at Brant Beach Yacht Club.  Although my favorite location of the day  was a stop we made for their portrait shoot in the sand dunes.  What a stunning landscape, and an equally stunning couple!

The day had a rustic and romantic style, featuring a choose a soft blue palate with lots of burlap textures.  Beachy, soft perfection!

Clarks Landings Wedding ~ NJ Wedding Photography

From Ms. Lauren Murphy to Mrs. Lauren Murphy. That's right, Lauren and Rob happen to share the same last name even before their wedding. These two are all about efficiency!  Their ceremony was held at St Rose of Lima church in Freehold and the reception was at the beautiful Clark's Landing Yacht Club in Point Pleasant.   Lauren choose a cool blue palatte for the day which included blue hydrangeas,  blues ties for the groomsmen, and navy dresses for the bridesmaids.  It gave the day a fresh, spring feeling and fit right in with the river views enjoyed during the reception.
